Why can't I see Component in my list of available styles?

Two possibilities. One is that you aren't set up to use S2, so you're looking in the wrong place. Make sure you've gone to customize and selected S2 from Choose style system. The other possibility is that you do not have a paid account. Component is only available to paid users at this time.

Why are my comments showing an incorrect time?

Please see LJ's
FAQ Question #156

Why are there no "{num} comments" links for posts which have more than 5 comments?

It has something to do with how the Russian language handles pluralization. It is not specific to Component. It is an S2 issue, and it should be resolved by now. If you are still having this problem, please leave a comment in the bugs post.

Why isn't my background image showing up?

It could be that you're using a host that does not allow the remoting loading of images. At this time, AOL and all AOL owned companies are not allowing the remote loading of images from LiveJouranl.

What happened to the Links tab?

The Links tab is now outdated. LiveJournal has since added support for a links list within S2, so the location where you add links is no longer in the customize interface. This will allow you to change styles without losing your list of links. Go here to manage your links

When my page loads, I get an error like this:
Error running style: Died in S2::run_code running FriendsPage::print(): Can't use string ("") as a subroutine ref while "strict refs" in use at /home/lj/src/s2/S2.pm line 452, line 3513.
Why is that happening?

Honestly, not sure. It doesn't happen often enough or regularly enough that we can track what the exact problem is. I have seen this in other S2 styles though, so it may not be specific to the coding of Component.

What other communities should I look at for information about S2?

The communities I watch for S2 info are (ordered by how often someone will post an S2 related question/comment):
